Any decision on the trans-pipeline projects should be considered on the basis of the consent of the five Caspian littoral states, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told reporters.
Lavrov said this issue was discussed at a meeting in Astrakhan.
“There are some ideas that are put forwards by non-regional countries. The order issued by the president orders to consistently insist on Russia's position. Any projects of this kind related to any Caspian pipelines should be considered solely on basis of the consent of the five Caspian littoral states,” Lavrov said.
