Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan commented on continued Baku-Tel-Aviv flight

Continuation of air flights Baku-Tel-Aviv is beneficial for both countries as there is not only commercial interest, Israeli ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lavon-Lotem said.
"There are political, economic and commercial interests in continuation of air flights," the ambassador said.

Azerbaijani Airlines and Israeli side will negotiate to continue air flights Baku-Tel-Aviv. Flights to Israel  will remain in the schedule till October 25, AZAL said.

The meeting between representatives of Israeli department of civil aviation, local and Israeli security agencies, as well as the airport named after Heydar Aliyev was held in Baku on July 18.

Certain differences regarding security for flights of Arkia company were revealed at this meeting.

Deputy Director of Israeli Civil Aviation Administration Avi Ben-Hur named security measures taken by Azerbaijan as insufficient which does not allow Arkia planes to land in Baku.  

Israeli company offers to ensure own aircraft safety in the international airport named after Heydar Aliyev.

Only Azerbaijan Airlines aircrafts have operate in this direction during 16 years. Arkia Israeli Airlines got license to make flights Tel-Aviv-Baku in 2008.
