Azerbaijani senior official commented on bloggers' arrest

“Unfortunately, the west is exaggerating the event,” head of the international department of the Azerbaijan's Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov said while commenting on numerous appeals to release the bloggers Adnan Hajizadeh and Emin Milli.

“The bloggers were arrested for hooliganism, and they will be released in a couple of months. Nobody should politicize the matter,” Mammadov said.

He said the question will be settled under law. “We do not want pressure on us and we prevent attempts to misuse the situation,” he said.
