Azerbaijan’s electoral laws allow to hold democratic elections: MP

Azerbaijani member of parliament and member of Azerbaijani delegation to Venice Commission Latif Huseynov says Azerbaijan’s electoral laws allow to hold democratic elections.
“The current electoral laws allow to hold democratic and transparent elections in line with international standards,” he said.

“We have good legislation and I dare say it is better than that of some other post-Soviet states. For example, the Law on Freedom of Assembly fully meets international standards. It has no restrictions on the freedom of assembly,” Huseynov said.
