Azerbaijan’s opposition Umid party continues to hold territorial meetings in connection with the coming municipal elections, party’s deputy chairman Anvar Agazade said.

He said the meetings aim to raise interest of party members for the municipal elections and to find out which members of the party have more chances to win the election.
“At the same time, the party is preparing a list of candidates to be nominated for the elections. The list will be ready by the official start of the municipal elections campaign,” he said.
We plan to nominate candidates for majority of municipalities, Agazade said.
Party Umid participated in the repeat municipal elections in 2004.The party is chaired by member of parliament Igbal Agazade.
