“It will be impossible for the Karabakh conflict resolution to advance without compromise,” Azerbaijani political expert Rasim Musabayov said.
“A year ago I assessed chances for resolution of the Karabakh conflict at 20 percent,” Musabayov said.
“This year I assessed them at 50-55 percent. I think chances for signing of a framework agreement by the end of the year are 30-35 percent. The results of the Prague process will be summed up this year. The sides may or may not sign a document,” he said.
“There is no need to expect the conflict to be resolved without a serious progress in the talks,” he said.
“The process will not advance without compromises,” he added.
“Azerbaijan may return the territories by military means, but it will not do so while there is a chance to resolve the conflict peacefully,” Musabayov said.
