Oil prices fall for first time over four days

Oil prices fell for the first time over the last 4 days during sale of contracts for a fixed profit, as market participants felt that the rise crude prices has been excessive on the backdrop a low demand for fuel.
The price on WTI futures for September fell 0.48 dollars to 67.90 dollars per barrel in the electronic bidding on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) on Tuesday morning.

According to the International Energy Agency, global oil demand will decline 2.9 percent in 2009.

Meanwhile, on 27 July,  WTI September futures on the NYMEX increased by 0.33 dollar up to 68.38 dollars per barrel on the backdrop of the on Asian stock markets rise and fall of the dollar, Bloomberg reported.
