Georgia welcomes statements by Belarus, Azerbaijani foreign ministries

27 July 2009 [13:49] - TODAY.AZ
Georgia’s Foreign Ministry is grateful to Belarus Foreign Ministry who called its citizens to abide by Georgia’s laws while tripping to that country.
Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister David Jalaganiya told reporters that it was a courageous statement by Belarus. Belarus called on its citizens to appeal to central authorities of Georgia, to abide by Georgia’s laws and to trip to the occupied lands through official borders while travelling to resorts specifically those located in Abkhazia and Tskhinvali.

The Georgian Foreign Ministry also appreciated the similar statement by the Azerbaijani foreign ministry.

Jalaganiya said Georgia expected Azerbaijan, strategic partner and friendly state, to make exactly this statement and the foreign ministry welcomes all similar statements by friendly countries.
