European Union to allocate 20 million euro to Azerbaijan

The press release said that the main purpose of the program of EU financial assistance is to provide diverse economic development of Azerbaijan through assistance to the republic to develop agriculture and villages.

“This assistance is linked to the objectives of Azerbaijan identified in a program on sustainable supply of population with food products in 2008-2015,” the press release said.  

Nearly 14 million will be directed to a program of support to agriculture and rural development, and another 6 million euros to enhance management capacity of Azerbaijan as a part of the implementation of the Action Plan and the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between Azerbaijani government and EU.
