Some Azerbaijani opposition parties propose to take joint action in municipal elections

Chairman of party Azadlig, part of the union, Ahmad Oruj said.

He said union parties urge all parties to unite.

“We are going to hold opposition’s forum to discuss this issue with all political parties. The members of the union have decided to participate in the municipal elections with a unified format. An election center has been launched to approve candidates who will contest municipal elections,” Oruj said.

The Union for Democracy includes Classic Popular Front Party, the party Azadlig, People's Party of Azerbaijan, Great Azerbaijan and the National Democratic Party of Azerbaijan.
