U.S. journalists trip to Azerbaijan's border areas

13 July 2009 [17:28] - TODAY.AZ
Professor at U.S. Montana University and journalist Thomas Goltz and researcher Jason Katz tripped to Alibayli and Agdam villages of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region.
“People’s living under constant fire is not good at all. This place is located far away from Karabakh, but ceasefire is frequently violated here,” Thomas Goltz said.

Journalists looked through binoculars at shot and destroyed gravestones in Azerbaijani occupied lands controlled by Armenia and looked round the school which has suffered Armenian fire.

“My book about mass killing of innocent Azerbaijanis by Armenians in 1991-1996 will be published by the end of the year. I will write a book about it in future, too,” Goltz said.

The U.S. journalists said they will let the world learn about the situation where civilians can not engage in sowing because of Armenian fire.

“I am disappointed with the fact that people can not visit graves of relatives. I will tell about what I saw here to U.S. officials, Congressmen, journalists and public,” Katz said.

The U.S. journalists also got familiar with the archeological excavations of Eneolit period found in Goytapa village of Tovuz region.
