Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister’s reaction to the events in Iran

“Iran is a neighboring country. We support positive solution of any issue there”, Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister Araz Azimov said, APA reports.

He said Azerbaijan wanted the soonest restoration of stability in Iran.

Araz Azimov said the developments in Iran likely wouldn’t cause a crisis. “We hope that the issue will find its political solution and the reconciliation between the different groups of society will be restored on the democratic basis. On the other hand, any crisis in the neighboring country will have an impact on us depending on its form”.
