U.S. ambassador to Azerbaijan visits Guba

The ambassador first visited Khinalig village, acquainted herself with Khinalig preserve. Following this, Anne Derse attended the event on the end of 156 small infrastructural projects implemented in Guba, Gusar, Khachmaz regions with financial support of the USAID.
Representatives of the communities and NGOs, who accomplished the project, attended the event held in NGOs Resource Center in Guba. It was noted that $1.2 million had been spent on the social projects implemented in 2005-2009. Anne Derse spoke about the continuation of the projects.
The ambassador will acquaint herself with the conditions of the mountain Jews living in Girmizi settlement of Guba.
