Romania’s State Secretary for Strategic Affairs Bogdan Aurescu to pay working visit to Azerbaijan

The program will include bilateral consultations on security issues with the Deputy Foreign Minister Araz Azimov, as well as meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov and with the counselor for foreign policy of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammedov.

On 9 June 2009, Mr. Bogdan Aurescu will deliver a speech on the role of NATO in the 21st century, at NATO International School in Azerbaijan. Also on 10 June 2009, the Romanian State Secretary will participate as keynote speaker, to the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council seminar “Energy Security: Challenges and opportunities”, to be held in Baku.
The relationship between Romania and Azerbaijan, in all fields of activity: political, economic, scientific and cultural spheres will be discussed during Bogdan Aurescu’s visit.
