OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs, who assumed a mediation mission, sometimes make statements that go beyond the context of the mission, daid the executive secretary of the Yeni Azerbaijan party Ali Ahmedov, at the plenary session of Milli Majlis.

"Their duty is to fulfill their mediation mission in the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. But unfortunately, they often make statements that are not logically fit into this framework", he said.
The MP expressed his dissatisfaction with the statements of French co-chair Bernard Fassier that the process of warming of Turkish-Armenian relations should be considered separately from the solution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem and that these issues are not linked.
"The President of Azerbaijan and Azeri public have repeatedly stated that these processes are interrelated and that until the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border is impossible", said A. Akhmedov.
According to him, such statements are contrary to the mediation purposes and are harmful for solution of contentious issues.
"Unfortunately, the co-chairs often make different statements that adversely affect the negotiating process, which is inadmissible", he stated.
