Ilham Aliyev met in Brussels with NATO secretary general

Speaking about the special role of Azerbaijan in the region, Yaap de Hoop Scheffer said that NATO considers Azerbaijan to be a partner country, which plays an important role in the region, and the present visit of President Ilham Aliyev will expand relations between Azerbaijan and NATO.

The Head of State noted that the relations between Azerbaijan and NATO are developing and stressed the active participation of Azerbaijan in various programs and activities of NATO.

Stressing the active role of our country in the Individual Partnership Actions Plan, President Ilham Aliyev expressed hope for further development of ties.
