Public association Ireli adopts declaration on Day of Azerbaijani genocide

The adopted document members of the public association call on the world states to take objective decisions aimed at restoration of justice, application of sanctions against the occupant country, Armenia, making due political and legal assessment to terror acts and genocide of Azerbaijanis by Armenians.

The statement notes that thousands of Azerbaijanis became victims of the terror policy, applied by Armenia in March-April of 1918 and aimed to terminate civilians of Azerbaijan in Baku, Shamakhy, Mugan, Guba, Lenkoran. In the result of undeclared way, launched by Armenia against Azerbaijan in late 20th century, a million of Azerbaijanis were forced to free their homes, over 20,000 died. Armenians occupied 20% of Azerbaijani lands. Over 600 civilians of this city were killed in the result of genocide in Khojaly.
