Event on March 31 - Day of Azerbaijani Genocide held in Azerbaijani embassy to Romania

The event was attended by representatives of the association of friendship Romania-Azerbaijan, Association of culture and youth Azerbaijan-Romania, leadership of the Azerbaijan-Romania trade and industrial chamber, officials of representative offices of Heydar Aliyev's Foundation and SOCAR in Romania, Azerbaijanis, Turks, Tatars and others residing in this country.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Romania Eldar Hasanov familiarized the participants with the history of genocide committed by Armenians against Azerbaijanis, accompanied with inhumane atrocities of Armenians against Azerbaijanis in 1905-1907 in Baku, Shusha, Zangezur, Irevan, Nakhchivan, Ordubad, Echmiadzin, Cavanshir, Gazakh, in March-April of 1918 in Baku, Shamakhy, Guba, Mugan and Karabakh when tens of thousands of civilians were killed and tortured.

The diplomat spoke of the events that occurred during the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, occupational policy of Armenia, Khojaly genocide, occupation of 20% of Azerbaijani lands.

The victims of the genocide were commemorated with a minute of silence.
