31 March 2009 [13:28] - TODAY.AZ
The strategic relations between our countries will further develop", said head of the political association "Alliance for Freedom", one of the leaders of Georgian opposition Irakli Alasaniya.
"These are fraternal relations that have a long history. These relations are a good basis for political relations between Baku and Tbilisi", said Alasaniya.

"We will never forget Azerbaijan's support in hard times", said he "The relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan will remain strategic. We have a common future. I think both Georgia and Azerbaijan will be an integral part of European security".

The politician considers that in the future all difficulties between Georgia and Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia can be settled in the framework of implementation of the ideas of single and peaceful Caucasus.

"In this sense bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia will play a very important role. I think our countries will further coordinate their external policy. We already have this practice when during my being the Georgian representative in UN, our countries were closely coordinating their positions in this international organization. I also consider it necessary to develop our relations in the GUAM frames", noted Alasaniya.
