PACE observers voice their attitude towards referendum in Azerbaijan

PACE recognizes referendum in Azerbaijan as legitimate, open and notes that it was held in an open atmosphere, said head of the PACE delegation for monitoring over referendum Pail Willi.
He noted that the referendum was organized at a high level and held in a peaceful atmosphere.

"The referendum showed the readiness of Azerbaijani people to expand democratic elements and stability in the country. Nevertheless, the Azerbaijani leadership should strive to further improvement of all these processes", announced Willi.

He urged the Azerbaijani powers to be more attentive about the recommendations of the Venice Commission.
