The Els independent research center and Association of support of civil society development in Azerbaijan will hold an exit-poll during a referendum on amendments to the Constitution, said head of the research center Irada Yagubova.

She said the Els center and the association will hold an exit poll at 800 constituencies of 118 okrugs throughout the country.
"The stations were selected by the program, recognized by the leading specialists of the world. Two interviewers with transparent boxes will be standing at the exit from the constituency. On the head they will have green caps with our logotypes. On the whole the poll will involve 1810 interviewers and coordinators.
The preliminary results of voting will be made public on the same day", noted he.
Yagubova also announced that they held a poll to reveal activeness of voters. By results of the poll, held between 1660 people, 71.4% respondents voiced intention to take part in the upcoming referendum.
"Today the exit-poll passed from the category of foreign innovations into a usual concept of a research for the voter, that they are not afraid of. In 2004 when we held the exip poll at the municipal elections for the first time there were such voters who ran away when seeing the interviewer.
Today we have another problem. We have a person, who leave with two and three voters and when he is said that he was selected, others got offended and demand to ask their opinion. People became aware that their opinion is interesting, meaningful and necessary. This is the very raising of the electoral and political culture of the voter", noted Yagubova.
Notably, the referendum in Azerbaijan is planned to be held on March 18.
