In Iran the Tebriz revolutionary court passed a verdict against activist of the movement for rights of South Azerbaijanis Irac Hasani, according to the Congress of World Azerbaijanis.
Under the verdict, our compatriot is sentenced to two years in prison. Activist Irac Hasani was arrested for participation in the events in May of 2006.
The Tebriz revolutionary court sentenced him to 4 months in prison but then our activist filed an appeal. The Appellate Court considered Hasani's case and raised the punishment term from 4 months to 2 years.
