On February 9 Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov received Turkish FM Ali Babacan, visiting Baku, according to the press service for Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
14:25The sides discussed bilateral, regional and international issues.
Mamedyarov highly evaluated Turkey's Caucasus Cooperation and Stability Platform and noted that it is important for the region and there is a need to continue discussions for its further implementation.
At the same time the Minister highly evaluated the peacekeeping efforts of Turkey in different regions of the world including as as the UN Security Council.
In turn, Babacan stated the need to restore peace in the region and stated the need for the soonest resolution of conflicts in the region. The Turkish Foreign Minister announced that the Karabakh conflict can be settled only in the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

Foreign Minister of Turkey visited Baku on February 8.
At the meeting with Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mamedyarov Ali Babacan will also discuss issues of economic cooperation between the two fraternal states.
After the meeting the Foreign Ministers are expected to hold a briefing for journalists.
The Turkish Foreign Minister is also expected to be received by country's president Ilham Aliyev.
Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan arrived in Baku after participation at the 45th international Munich conference on the security policy held in Germany on February 6-8. In his speech at the session "Caucasus and Balkans" Babacan noted that the situation in the South Caucasus will change much after the complete normalization of relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan.
