"The Democratic Party of Azerbaijan has repeatedly proposed the initiative of reducing prices on energy sources, gas, essential products, yet no definite proposals in this sphere are made", said party chairman Sardar Calaloghlu.

According the main reason of this is that monopolies hinder reduction of prices in the country.
"Currently, the government is said to conduct anti-crisis measures. The essential goods, energy sources have reduced in prices on the world market, but as our country has monopolies, prices still remain on the same level.
In turn, the parties also are not able to influence the situation", noted Calaloghlu.
