He said the party considers it necessary to hold a referendum to lift restrictions on the election of one person as a president for more than twice.
"The party considers that the existence of this article in the Constitution contradicts to the democratic principles. The party also demands to restore the proportional system and broaden parliament's powers. Such reforms will be in favor of the Azerbaijani people", noted he.
Hajiyev also said that if the parliament of Azerbaijan does not consider the issue about the referendum, in 2009 the party will start protests near the building of Milli Medjlis.
The session participants also discussed participation in the municipal and parliamentary elections. Due recommendations on the said issue were given to the regional organizations.
