Lala Shevket meets with IRI representatives

On 10 December Leader of Azerbaijan Liberal Party, Prof. Dr. Lala Shevket received representatives of the US International Republican Institute Mr. Jeffrey Lilley and Mr. Jake Jones.
A wide range of issues has been discussed during the meeting including the geopolitical situation in the region and the world, socio-political situation in Azerbaijan, problems with democracy and human rights in the country, fate of political prisoners, opposition's plans after the 2008 presidential election, IRI activity in the country, as well as relations between Azerbaijan and the United States.
