Trilateral meeting of Presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan held - UPDATED

Trilateral meeting of President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan, President Abdulah Gul of Turkey and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov of Turkmenistan was held on 29 November in Turkmenbashi city, reports AzerTac.

After the heads of state were taken their photos, President of Turkmenistan welcomed his counterparts and thanked for visit.

The interstate relations among the three countries are at high level, the Turkish president noted, emphasizing importance of the current joint meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Turkey.

In his remarks, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that results of the meeting would be useful for all three countries, to further strengthen friendly relations among the fraternal nations.

President Aliyev, in particular, said: “We are united by common history and common cultural roots. And on this suitable ground, each country pursues its independence policy, trying to preserve and develop the traditional friendly and brotherly relationship.”

President of Azerbaijan expressed pleasure with his visit to Turkmenistan, noting it was successful, with promising results.

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov of Turkmenistan today arrived in the city of Turkmenbashi, Day.Az reports with reference to AzerTac.

As earlier reported, on 29 November the trilateral meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan will be held in this city.
