15 years have passed since the day of occupation of the Zengilan region of Azerbaijan by Armenians.

According to Day.Az, the region covers an area of 707 square kilometers and has a population of 33,890 people.
A city (Zengilan), an urban settlement (Minjivan) and 81 villages were occupied. 661 social and economic establishments, including 3 industrial, 244 commercial, 142 catering, 38 household, 255 social buildings, 9 preschool establishments, 19 primary schools, 15 secondary schools, a music school, 35 libraries, 8 culture houses, 23 clubs and 22 cinemas were ruined. 188 people became martyrs and 44 Zangilanis are missing.
The agricultural sector was the economic basis of the region, occupied by Armenians. Grain, tobacco, potato, berries, melons and water melons were planted there and there were a winery, a cannery, marble and gravel plants.
