Chairman of Azerbaijani Communist Party: "We do not intend to change our political course"

He said the fact that the party decided to support I.Aliyev's candidacy at the elections, does not mean that it is pro-governmental.

"The political course of the party remains changeless, therefore, we do not intend to change it. The Communist Party of Azerbaijan prefers stability, peace and accord. We have our own tasks for which we are fighting now. These tasks are inseparable", said he,

Asked whether the party intends to join any bloc, Gurbanov said:

"The party does not intend to join any bloc, yet we are in process of discussions with the Socialistic Party of Azerbaijan, chaired by Elshan Hasanov", announced he.

Gurbanov also noted that the party is ready for a dialogue between the powers and opposition regarding national issues.
