Azerbaijani consul general to Los Angeles meets with mayor of Denver

Reports say that Azerbaijani diplomats held a meeting with mayor of Denver John Hikenlopair.

During the meeting the sides discussed prospects of economic cooperation and educational exchange.

Moreover, the Azerbaijani diplomats held meetings with the advisers of the governor of the state on economic issues, administration of the Denver University and business representatives.

At the meeting with local mass media Azerbaijani representatives spoke of the situation in the region.

The topic of Suleymanov's speech in front of the students of the Denver University and large audience of the Council of international relations of Denver was the external policy of Azerbaijan. The traditions of tolerance and openness in the Azerbaijani society, Azerbaijan's contribution to the energy security in Europe, as well as balanced external political course, held by the country's leadership, arose special interest of the discussions participants.

It should be noted that the faculty of international relations of the Denver University is named in honor of Josef Copbell - father of former US Secretary of State Madlen Allbright and Condoleezza Rice is among the most famous graduates of the university.
