President of Azerbaijan congratulates Turkish counterpart on country's election as security council's non-permanent member

President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan sent a congratulatory message to his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul on his country`s election as non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.
The letter reads: "This historic event is a direct indicator of your country`s increasing role in the international community and great success of Turkish diplomacy. The General Assembly`s choice is an appreciation of Turkey`s continued efforts towards establishing peace, security and stability in the world and especially region.

I share with you the joy of having good news that brought happiness to every citizen of fraternal Turkey and the entire Turkic world, and I am convinced that the country`s upcoming activities in the Security Council would be fruitful".

Ilham Aliyev extended his best wishes to Abdullah Gul and fraternal Turkish people.
