Azerbaijan's Democratic Party leader receives head of OSCE observation mission

Leader of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloghlu received Boris Frlec, head of the OSCE observation mission for presidential elections, reports Day.Az with reference to the press service for the party.
During the meeting leader of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan Sardar Jalaloghly spoke of the way, the political structure passed since the moment of founding.

The sides also discussed the election situation in the country.

In turn, the leader of the OSCE observer mission showed interest in the reasons of the party's non-participation in the presidential elections.

Sardar Jalaloghlu announced that the recent amendments to the Electoral Code, passive attitude of the people to the upcoming presidential elections, as well as indifference of international organizations towards holding democratic elections reduce opposition's chances for victory.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the upcoming work to be held by the OSCE observer mission before the presidential elections.

It should be noted that the meeting was attended by first deputy chairman of the party Taliyat Aliyev and political analyst of the mission Rafael Matthew.
