CE Baku office to hold a number of events for preparations to presidential elections

Thus, on August 21-22 and 25-26, the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, IFES organization and the Central Election Commission will hold seminars for lawyers of the Central Election Commission and okrug election commissions. According to Ibrahimli, the seminars will be attended by about 120 members of the election commissions, experts of the Council of Europe and local specialists.

Moreover, Council of Europe and Euronews will hold seminars in Novkhany Aqua Park of the Council of Europe and Internews for television journalists on covering the elections.

On August 26 the Council of Europe in cooperation with the Yeni Nesil organization will arrange a conference on "Media and elections: democratic commitments of press" at Hyatt Regency Hotel.

According to Ibrahimli, the conference will be attended by representatives of international organizations, government of Azerbaijan, Milli Medsjli deputies, as well as representatives of foreign embassies, accredited in our country.
