Head of OSCE Baku office: "500 international representatives will monitor presidential elections this year"

An information session on facts of interference with the voting process was organized in Shirvan today by the OSCE Baku office, the Central Election Commission and the OIC presidential administration.
The session was held for chiefs of executive powers of 18 cities and regions and chairmen of 30.

As is reported, speaking at the session head of the OSCE Baku office Jose Luis Guerrero Ansola stressed the need to observe main principles of free and transparent elections, prevention of facts of interference with the voting process.

He said the amedments introduced by the Azerbaijani parliament to the Electoral Code envisions stiff measures in case of interference with the voting process.

The ambassador noted that 500 international observers will monitor elections this year.
