Union for Democracy creating election campaign team

He noted that the session participants held discussions regarding the current election situation.

"It was decided to nominate two candidates for presidential elections at the first stage of the Union for Democracy. Depending on the further events, the union will reconsider its decision and withdraw one of the candidates.

It was also decided to create a central election campaign team in connection with the upcoming presidential elections", noted he.

Oruj also added that during the session the party agreed to appeal to country's president with a request to pardon imprisoned reporters.

It should be noted that the said union includes the Azerbaijan Classical Popular Front Party, Azadlyg party and National-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan.
