President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated French counterpart Nicholas Sarkozy on national day of this country - the Bastille Day, reports Day.Az with reference to AzerTac.
In the congratulatory letter, the President stressed successful development of Azerbaijani-French relations.
"The bright example of it is a consistent expansion of bilateral ties between our countries, dynamics of bilateral relations of fruitful cooperation, causing mutual interest in a number of fields", says the letter.
The letter fixed hope that France, being the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair, will intensify efforts for the resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
"On this remarkable day I wish you sound health, success at work and to friendly French people-peace and welfare", reads the letter.
