Family members of editor-in-chief of Azadlyg newspaper Ganimat Zahid met him yesterday in prison No 17.
Day.Az reports with reference to the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety that the due information was provided by journalist's wife Ayanda Mursaliyeva.

She said Zahid has problems with health and he complains about pains in eyes and rheumatism.

Mursaliyeva said that the manuscripts of the book, written by Zahid in the Bail investigation ward No 1, have been found.

"We were told in the penitentiary system of the Justice Ministry that the manuscripts were returned to the chief of the said isolator Misir Aliyev last week, but he does not intend to give them back", noted journalist's wife.

She said she met with the head of the isolation ward and he said the manuscripts will not be returned to Zahid.

"He said at the meeting that the manuscripts contain antiauthority information, therefore, they intend to prepare an act and terminate them", said Mursaliyeva.

She noted that they will file a claim to the court in connection with the said problem.
