Anne Derse lists items to be financed from US-allocated funds for presidential elections in Azerbaijan

"During our meeting with US ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse we have discussed directions financed from $3.2 mln, allocated by the US Department of State for conduction of presidential elections in Azerbaijan", said chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan Muzahir Panakhov.

According to Panakhov, Derse informed him that "a part of the allocated funds will be used for the activity of the International Republicans Institute, National Institute of Democracy and IFES in connection with the elections in Azerbaijan.

Panakhov also announced that the date of presidential elections in the country will be specified later this month.
