Touching upon facilitation of visa regime with Azerbaijan, Turkey Prime Minister Erdogan, who visited Nakhchivan. noted that great achievement were attained in this process, which will also continues.

In turn, Ilham Aliyev noted that the meeting in Nakhchivan will pave the way to new opportunitiers in the bilateral cooperation.

"Azerbaijani companies are increasing investments into the Turkish economy", noted the President.

"After meeting Turkey's demand of gas via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzirum gas pipeline, gas will be supplied to Europe by Nabucco gas pipeline, said Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a joint press conference.

He said the issue had been discussed with I.Aliyev and the sides had reached an agreement.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan today have inaugurated the “Duzdag” Physical Therapy Center in the Babek district of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Azerbaijani Leader, Turkish Premier and their spouses Mehriban Aliyeva and Emine Erdogan first familiarized themselves the center`s underground section.

President Aliyev, Premier Erdogan and their spouses cut the red ribbon symbolizing the official opening of the center.

President's visit to Nakhchivan ended on that.

Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan predicts growth of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey up to $3 bln in the next two years.

"The trade between Turkey and Azerbaijan amounts to 1.2 billion dollars. Of course, our desire is to increase it up to 3 billion in the next two years", said Turkey Prime Minister in Nakhchivan by results of the meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

"Turkey has grown into the largest investor into the non-oil sector of Azerbaijan. Major part of Turkish investments worth 5.5 billion dollars was placed in the small and medium-sized enterprises, business. We have discussed possible growth of this indicator at the meeting with President Ilham Aliyev", announced the Prime Minister.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s visit to Nakhchivan continues.

APA’s correspondent covering the president’s visit reports that Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan had one-on-one meeting today. Following the meeting, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a joint statement. Azerbaijan’s President underlined that the two countries had perfect relations and the relations would further develop.

The head of state said cooperation between the two countries, energy projects and other issues had been discussed during the meeting and noted that no project could be implemented in the region without participation of Azerbaijan and Turkey. Recep Tayyip Erdogan said it was his first visit to Nakhchivan and the visit was of great importance.

"Holding such a meeting in Nakhchivan is a message to the world and region," he said.

According to him, the positions of Azerbaijan and Turkey coincide in all spheres. Touching upon Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Prime Minister said that Turkey always supported Azerbaijan’s position.

"The resolution adopted in the UN showed once more that Azerbaijan is on the right track," he said.

Prime Minister mentioned that groundbreaking ceremony of Turkish part of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project would be held in July.

Later Azerbaijani President will participate in the opening ceremony of Duzdagh Hospital.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met today with Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The meeting participants discussed relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and the current level of economic-political ties.

During the meeting the discussed were transport and energy projects, which are of special importance for the socioeconomic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

These include Qars-Nakhchivan railway line, Erzirum-Nakhchivan gas pipeline, Nakhchivan-Istanbil ait flight. I.Aliyev will visit the healthcare sanatorium following the meeting.

APA’s Nakhchivan bureau reports that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan are having one-on-one meeting at present.
