Turkey's Prime Minister arrives in Nakhchivan

Prime Minister of Turkey Rejep Tayip Erdoghan arrived in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic yesterday night.
Day.Az reports with reference to Turkish news agency Cihan that he was greeted by Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kilich.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by his wife Amina Erdoghan, state minister Said Yazichioghlu, as well as ministers of transport and natural resources Binali Yildirim and Hilmi Guler.

Erdoghan's official meetings will start today. He will visit the Supreme Medjlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, take part in the opening of the center of physiotherapy and a hotel. He is also expected to meet with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

It should be noted that Erdoghan's visit is conducted by invitation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. During the meeting the sides will discuss the socioeconomic development of the autonomous republic and eastern regions of Turkey.

In particular, they will discuss such projects as construction of Qars-Nakhchivan railroad and Erzirum-Nakhchivan gas pipeline. A railway line to connect Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with Baku-Tbilisi-Qars road, will restore the broken railway communication of Nakhchivan with the rest of Azerbaijan. Aliyev and Erdoghan will also discuss opening of Nakhchivan-Istanbul air flights.
