Musavat party puts meeting off

16 May 2008 [16:38] - TODAY.AZ
Musavat party, functioning in Azerbaijan, has put off the meeting, planned to be held on May 18.
The due announcement was made by chief of Musavat party central board Arif Hajili.

He said today the city administration has responded to the appeal of the party recommending them to hold the meeting in Bibi-Eybat settlement.

"We do not intend to accept the decision of the city administration, therefore, the party decided to put off the meeting.

Due to the rude violation of article 10 of the law "On Freedom of Assembly", according to which the city administration should have responded to us two days before, the party will file the second claim to the court against the Baku city administration", said Hajili.

He noted that the date of the new meeting will be defined next week at a regular session of the Divan of the political structure.
