Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister receives copies of credentials of Ukrainian ambassador

Boris Klimchuk, newly appointed ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, handed copies of credentials to Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mamedyarov.
The due information was provided by Novosti-Azerbaijan with reference to the press service for the Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting the sides stressed intensively developing relations between the two countries, noting importance of bilateral visits. It was noted that the visit of President of Ukraine to Azerbaijan, planned for May of this year, will promote expansion was cooperation between the countries.

It was noted that the meeting participants also discussed issues of preparations to conduction of an energy summit in Kiev in May of this year with documents to be signed in the framework of the visit of Azerbaijani President to Ukraine, agenda of the eighth session of the Azerbaijan-Ukraine intergovernmental commission, need to raise mutual trade turnover between the two countries, cooperation in the framework of GUAM, joint energy projects and prospects of implementation of projects of transport ways, communicating the Caspian, Black Sea and Baltic basins.

The ambassador expressed his gratitude due to the establishment of the memorial to Ukraine poet Taras Shevchenko in Baku.
