The due announcement was made by chairman of the Azerbaijan Democratic Party Sardar Jalaloghlu.
He said in line with the current draft law political parties can arrange their actions of protest without significant obstacles.
"The law fixes that the protestors have a right to appoint the venue and date of the action. Yet the Baku city administration should just approve this place. Everything is different with us. The city administration points the places, where the meeting organizers should hold their action. This contradicts to all norms.
In this sense, wouldn't it be better to comply with the law, before amending it?
There is an expression that even the best draft law, which is not in effect, is worse than a working bad law", said he.
Sardar Jalaloghlu added that the Azerbaijan Democratic Party is not against amendments to the draft law "On freedom of Assembly". The political structure is for adherence to the main points of the said draft law.
