US Ambassador visits Sheki

US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse is on a visit to the north-western regions of Azerbaijan.

On Sunday, Ambassador Derse has visited Kish village of Sheki and looked at the ancient Albanian temple there, APA Sheki-Zagathala bureau reports. The diplomat has been informed in detail about the history of the temple. Then ambassador met with 20 schoolchildren who attend the US-sponsored English courses in the region. Anne Derse finishes her visit to Sheki on Sunday.

She will visit Gakh Region to have a look at the Albanian temple in Gum village on Monday and then will move to Zagathala Region. The ambassador is expected to hold meeting in the Islamic University of Zagathala and to visit Thala Mosque.
