The Supreme Court of Azerbaijan will consider the appeal of the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party on April 25.
Party spokesman for press and agitation Ali Orujev, the National Independence Party appealed to this instance as the law "On Freedom of Assembly" and "Freedom of Speech".
According to Orujev, before this the appeal has been considered in the Sabail district court and in the Appellate Court. Yet, neither of this instances have granted it.
"As is known, the party always held pickets before various embassies, presenting various demands, but during the action the activists of our party have always been subjected to pressure by the police, therefore, we decided to consider this appeal in the court instances.
If the Appellate Court does not grant our appeal, we plan to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights. We do not want the violation of our rights", said Orujev.
