Khazar Ibrahim: "Azerbaijan supports territorial integrity of Georgia and condemns steps, violating this principle"

The due announcement was made by spokesman for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibrahim, commenting on Russia's steps, aiming at recognition of separatist "republics" of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

At the same time, he noted that efforts to include the resolution on unsettled conflicts on the GUAM member-states on the agenda of the UN General Assembly are continuing. He noted that its adoption would be a support to the just position of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Moldova in the issue of territorial integrity.

"If not only Russia, and other co-chairing countries will take a definite position in their announcements, which will be a serious warning to all separatist-inspired forces and will help the resolution of the conflicts", said he.
