Avez Temirkhan: "Decrease of term of election campaign in Azerbaijan does not pursue positive changes"

"The intention of separate representatives to decrease the term of election campaign is due to the striving to accelerate the attempt of falsification of elections", said acting chairman of the Liberal Party of Azerbaijan Avez Temirkhan.

He said the decrease of the term of election campaign does not pursue positive changes. Such a proposal can be explained by the intention to deprive opposition from the remaining opportunities in the elections.

"In period of the election campaign, the opposition may familiarize voters with its activity. Yet they want to deprive us of this opportunity as well. Our party has not yet  undertaken a final decision regarding participation in the coming presidential elections, therefore, we do not discuss this issue at the moment", noted he.

Touching upon the work the party carries out in connection with the headquarters, Temirkhan noted that this issue remains unsettled.
