Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov is visiting Bulgaria.
Novosti-Azerbaijan reports with reference to the spokesman for Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry Khazar Ibragim, member of the delegation led by Mamedyarov, that the Foreign Minister was received by President of Bulgaria Georgy Pirvanov.
The discussed was the development of bilateral Azerbaijani-Bulgarian relations. Mamedyarov highly assessed the established relations and stressed importance for raising volumes of mutual trade turnover between the two countries.
According to the Minister, the next session of the Azerbaijan-Bulgaria intergovernmental commission, scheduled for September of this year, will create good opportunities for the successful development of bilateral economic relations.
According to the Minister, the high level of bilateral political and strategic partnership may have a positive impact on strengthening economic cooperation between Baku and Sophia. The Minister stressed importance of developing ties in energy sector and stressed the need to develop relations in the non-oil economic sphere as well and called cooperation in agricultural, transport and tourism sector perspective.
"Azerbaijan is ready to invest into Bulgarian economy", said Mamedyarov.
The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan stressed the importance of Bulgaria's role as to the cooperation with European and Euro-Atlantic structures.
