Vahdat party chairman: "Politics is my vocation, therefore, I do not intend to quit it"

"I do not understand why an opinion has formed after Iskender Hamidov's leaving that he would be followed by Lala Shovket, Rasul Guliyev and Tahir Kerimli", said Vahdat party chairman Tahir Kerimli.

He said that the decision to quit politics should be taken under influence of some changes.

"Sometimes I wanted to quit politics, and tried not to deal with it. But I understood that politics is my vocation and I would not be able to deal with anything else.

Naturally, some may say that I did not use the opportunities I had, for twenty years. I confess my mistakes, but now I do not intend to quit politics. If I undertake this decision, this may only occur after presidential elections", Kerimli said.

Touching upon the work party holds in connection with the coming session, the Vahdar chairman noted that the session of the Supreme Medjlis of the party will take place in May.

"Currently we are waiting for the Yeni Azerbaijan party to nominate its candidacy for presidential elections. After that we will define the date of the session and form a final position on presidential elections", Kerimli noted.
