The Open Society Party (ACP) and “Baku-Zaman” newspaper will be pulled out from their residing building according to the court decision, Idris Guliyev, owner of the building and Rasul Guliyev’s brother-in-law told APA.
Guliyev said he appealed to the Sabail District Court, which approved his complaint under the chairmanship of Judge Fuad Huseynov month ago.
However the newspaper and party leadership didn’t leave the building and addressed the Court of Appeal.
Idris Guliyev said Court of Appeal supported the Sabail District Court’s decision.
The court demanded from the the responsible side to leave the building in three months. Idris Guliyev has not clarified reasons led him to break rent contract and to pull out the party and newspaper from the building.
ACP Deputy Chairman of the Open Society Party Yagub Abbasov told APA that he had no information about the issue and refused to elaborate on it.
ACP Chairman Akif Shahbazov also voiced the same position.
Adviser to ACP Chairman Zamina Dunyamaliyeva said she had been informed about the issue. "The party has not yet defined where it will move and probably necessary steps will be taken further". Zamina Dunyamaliyeva has not reacted to the Idris Guliyev’s decision.
